A couple of days ago Edin Dzeko was signed for 27 MILLION!!! Now that's a lot of money. This is actually a great signing, and he's also worth the money, but a lot of the players they sign, end up on the bench for half of the time. You can't just fork out something like 10 Million for players like J. Boateng so he plays half of the games of City. J. Boateng is an amazing player, he deserves more. Below all the players that were bought in the last 2 years and costed a lot of money are underlined, the others not. All the players that played more then 15 games are diagonal.

Now the question was are the signings good or bad. I think neither. My opinion is the signings were OK.
The reason is only 6 to 7 new players are usually on the field. They bought up to 14 new players between this season and last season. Also, even though they've made a step forward, the money they spent was much too much. They spent over 1 billion pounds over 2 years!!! Maybe Dzeko will bring them to first place but if not, there signings were not great, but still between OK and good. The last con I have is the Transfer fee.
The transfer fee's are to high even for players with this much quality. For an example a lot of people say Adebayor is going to be sold, but he'll only be sold for about a 1/3 of what they bought him for.
This is my analysis on Manchester City's signings: They are between Ok and good because of the transfer fee's.
